Is there a way to stop it completely?

A couple of weeks ago, I stabbed completely through my hand with a steak knife. It went through my palm under the middle finger and out the back by the ring finger knuckle. The blade killed a nerve and i cant feel the left side of my middle finger anymore. Anyway, the cut has completely healed and there is obviously a scar,but now every time i run something over the scar or tap it against something even slightly it sends a very bad jerk and tingling throughout the numb part of my finger. What I'm asking is is there a way to get rid of the tingling and jerking, because it is badly interfering with me playing sports and such like.
