What should I buy: a truck or a full size van? I'm plan on using it for hunting and fishing?

Both can hold ether a fishing boat and/or a cage for my hunting dogs. The truck is a 1979 Chevy with a home built flat bed and the van is a 1989 Dodge 1 ton without the rear seats and was used as a church bus.both are 2WD.
