Do I have a good chance?

So there's this guys I like. He thinks I'm really cute, a sweetheart, chill, and smart problem is that he's a busy guy and he's kinda close friends with my ex. My ex doesn't really care since he moved but a part of me feels that because of him it ruins my chances. What should I do in order to win him over?
