What Movie is this? (description along with this)?

There was a sick mom who had 2 daughters . The mom was so ill she always rung a bell to have her kids or nurse help her with something . She was blown up in her little house . One daughter went away and when she came back , her dad was married to the nurse and the nurse was actually a bad lady . The daughters didn't like her . The stepmom didn't like this boy who delivered groceries by boat to their house . He had crashed his bat and the girl had a dream of him coming in her room and his spine was broken . The next day , his body was found along w. His boat and his spine was broken in real life . I do not know if these are two different movies but it is frustrating me because I can't figure out the names haha . Help meee
