What do you think is the best solution to stop this somali pirate activities across the sea?

Somali pirate activities are booming and increasingly becoming very dangerous at sea as far as from Gulf of Aden to Indian ocean and its coast lines where merchant vessels are trading in those lanes from asia going to Suez canal in transit out for meditteranean sea or vise versa. These pirates are heavily armed who will try to board a ship, by overspeeding the target victim ship with their sophisticated high speed boats coming from a distant mother ship.Once they take control of the ship and the crew, they usually bring the whole ship including the crew to Somalia as hostages demanding ransom money for each crew and the ship itself in millions of dollars from the ship owner. Can you imagine what will happen to the captives in their custody? some of the captives stayed there for months without ransom, what about their foods? what if they get sick? This needs to be stopped. How?
