How do I find out if my local police did anything when I reported my teen missing?
I recently had to report my 14 yr old daughter missing. My local police dept. sent an officer out. He was courteous, but seemed uninterested and unconcerned. I never heard another word from the department. I know they were even provided information from a highly respectable source, when she had been missing for nearly a day and a half, but as far as I know it was never followed up on. My daughter has never been in trouble and this was not something she had done before. I feel that there was not enough done on law enforcement's part to make her disappearance a priority. How do I find out what actions they took (if any), without "rocking the boat" since I live in a relatively small community. I just want answers to their actions, not trouble. By the way, I found her myself, in our own town, when they couldn't seem to. She is home safe.
